Villa Sciarra

Villa Sciarra is a public park in the city of Rome, nested above the Gianicolo hill above Trastevere and in the Monteverde district. It is at walking distance from our house.

The villa was built on the site of Caesar Gardens.

It can be easily reached on foot from our house (15 minutes).

It has several entrances. One entrance is in front of the international hospital Salvator Mundi. Another entrance is at intersection of Via Nicola Fabrizi and Via Calandrelli.

The villa is a quaint example of late 800's garden, with fake romain ruins. Trees include a line of palm trees, cedar of lebanon. It hosts an institute of germanic studies.
